In order to clear his mind and focus entirely on the script, writer/director Dudley Rees travelled to the peaceful Scottish town of Elgin to meet his friend David Ashwood and write. From the 10th to the 12th of August 2009 they came up with a treatment for each scene. Dudley traveled to Edinburgh to recruit Kim Gerard and by the 15th of August he was back on a train to Sheffield with the finalized script.
August 17th and the shoot began. The actors arrived over the next few days, depending on their scenes.
August 20th proved to be an incredibly tough day and night, with many key scenes to film, including the campfire, the hospital and farmhouse 3 both interior and exterior. We filmed until the sun came up.
Sunday 23rd David Ashwood and Alex Harries wrap the final scene of the shoot, the Interrogation scene and are sent back to Scotland and Wales.
The editing process began immediately and by October it was apparent that the film was good, and would benefit from minor re-shoots. David Ashwood was recalled to Sheffield for 3 days in late October. A casual shoot provided the finishing shots of the film.
By January 18th Moritz Schmittat was signed on as composer for the project, with the film only requiring colour correction he was able to begin his score.
The Moritz Schmittat orchestra, comprising of 14 musicians, came together on February 11th to record the live portion of the soundtrack. The rest was digitally mixed using synth libraries, ready for -
March 19th – The World Premiere at Genesis Cinema, London, England. With over a hundred guests the event sold out and received public acclaim.

The film was entirely funded by the cast and crew as they went along. Train tickets were bought by the actors, the director of photography made a steady cam, the director bought his own trailer. The biggest cost was hiring an orchestra of 14, who worked for expenses only.
